André Brunel

André Brunel’s wines fall under the Les Cailloux Domaine, which was created in 1954 to promote the uniqueness of the wines produced from these plots of land. André Brunel officially took over in 1971 and is a crucial component in Domaine’s wines’ success.

Andre Brunels skills have earned him worldwide recognition for the intensity and concentration of his wines, combining modern technical expertise and traditional power of the region. The Andre Brunel Cotes du Rhone is balanced intense and powerful, with spicy, savoury fuit and a white pepper and plum fruit finish. André Brunel was one of the first to introduce a ground covering method, which was an excellent alternative to chemical use in the vineyards. There is an unmistakable sense of thoughtfulness and care throughout the winemaking process, which has led to praise from consumers globally.

Interestingly, the estate is divided into three appellations: Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Côtes du Rhône, and Vins de Pays. In each of these appellations, a unique set of varieties is grown to highlight each area’s uniqueness and the quality they are capable of.
