Bellavista

Vittorio moretti devoted special attention to the acquisition of new vineyards, which now comprise a total of 203 hectares in the "franciacorta" wine production area.

From the vineyards to the wine, every process is performed naturally. Every decision is made in consideration of the rhythms dictated by nature and by the history of the franciacorta area. Bellavista proposes a timeless style and class, the fruit of a simple approach and artisanal attention to even the smallest detail.

Nature and man work hand in hand, in the vineyards and in the wine cellar. Grapes are hand-picked, while the use of traditional presses ensures soft grape pressing and an accurate separation of the free-run juice. In spring, when the cuvées are blended, Bellavista can count on an extraordinary selection of some one hundred base wines, some of which have been fermented in small oak barrels. This is when the alchemy is created, the decisive monemt before the long wait in the bottle, whivh ends with manual ridding cycles.

In 1981 Vittorio Moretti met oenologist Mattia Vezzola, who in that same year joined the company. His role proved pivotal to the definition of the bellavista style. In 2007, Mattia Vezzola's key contribution was recognized by the guide to italian wines, issued by Gambero rosso-slow food, which honored him as “oenologist of the year”.
