Big Sky Wines established in 2005. Katherine and Jeremy had returned to New Zealand from living in France, and they knew the time was right to pursue their longheld ambition – to make world class, hand crafted wines, that give true expression to the character of their place. On the high alluvial terrace of Martinborough’s Huangarua river, its deep gravels, low rainfall, warm days and cool nights make it ideal for growing pinot noir and Sauvignon Blanc.
