Chateau Clos Dady

Run by the present owners Eli Ragimov and Igor Solomon, Château les Remparts is a boutique Bordeaux wine estate producing exceptional Sauternes wines under the name Clos Dady from their vineyards in Preignac and white and red Graves wines under the names Clos les Remparts from their vineyards in Pujols-sur-Ciron.Continuing the tradition of the original owners Christophe and Catherine Gachet who began the wine-making project after Catherine inherited the estate from her mother, the wines of Clos Dady with a modern, elegant and fresh expression revolutionized the production of Sauternes which prior to Catherine were wines seen as outdated, heavy and cloying.

Besides achieving instant success with placements in wine-lists in fine restaurants worldwide, the Clos Dady Sauternes also happens to the first and only wine ever to travel into space when it was chosen by the astronaut Michael Tonini on his Soyuz-15 mission.
Light brilliant straw colour. Fresh acacia flowers accentuated by citrus bloom aromas and saffron notes. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, with a long spicy finish. A well-balanced elegant and spicy wine.
