Domaine Gilbert et Christine Felettig

Domaine Gilbert et Christine Felettig is a wine estate based in Chambolle-Musigny, producing mostly Pinot Noir wines from across the Côtes de Nuits, but with a focus in terms of volume on its home village. The estate is run by a brother and sister team, having been founded by their father Henri Felettig, a former vineyard worker, in 1974. Today, there is a hundred different plots farmed organically.

In the winery, grapes are left to macerate for approximately a week prior to fermentation to ensure a full extraction of phenolic compounds. To prevent excess oxidation, movement of juice and wine around the winery is powered by gravity.

A large part of production is taken up by two village-level Chambolle-Musigny cuvées, one of which is sourced from 15 different sites across the appellation, the other from a single vineyard, Clos le Village, the domaine's largest single parcel at 0.5ha (1.2 acres).
Vines are also tended in village-level plots in Gevrey-Chambertin, Vosne-Romanée and Nuits-Saint-Georges, as well as in the Haut Côtes de Nuits and the Haut Côtes de Beaune. Seven different premier cru wines are bottled including Les Combottes, Les Charmes and Les Carrières – the only estate to bottle an individual wine from the latter.
