Domaine Marchand Grillot

Domaine Marchand-Grillot was founded in 1950 and covers 9 hectares of vines, spreading across 47 different plots in 5 Côte de Nuits villages. The Marchand family and the Grillot family were both similar to the vine, well rooted in the vineyard bourguignon.Indeed, we must go back seven generations to find the man who first became interested in the vineyard to make the best, the side of Morey-St-Denis Marchand and for Gevrey-Chambertin for Grillot. In 1950, through a marriage was born the field Marchand-Grillot was born, and it will be permanently located in Gevrey-Chambertin.

In Gevrey-Chambertin, they produce five different village wines and a very old vine plot called Champerrier. They added “vigne centenaire” to the wine name because the vines are over 100 years old. Today, fifth generation Jacques Marchand heads the estate with his son Etienne, with an objective of creating traditional style wines. The estate has adopted a sustainable viticulture approach and stopped using herbicides and insecticides.
