Domaine Nicolas Faure

Domaine Nicolas Faure is a micro-domaine crafting wines of impressive elegance. Each of Nicolas’ tiny vineyards receives Grand Cru care and the very high quality wines are obtained through countless hours spent in the vineyards. He further ensures the quality through mini interventions and traditional practices executed with precision.

Today, vineyards holdings include a plot of 100-year-old Aligoté in the Haute-Côte-de-Beaune as well as a vineyard of Gamay in Premeaux-Prissey amoungst others.In the winery, minimal intervention is practiced throughout the entire winemaking process with small amounts of sulfur added when essential. Faure also practices organic farming methodology in the vineyard to ensure that vines are producing small yields of grapes with concentrated flavor compounds. 100% whole-cluster pressing for reds, indigenous yeast fermentation, no new oak barrels. Aged between 8 to 16 months depending on cuvée, Bentonite fining for whites, reds are unfined and unfiltered.
