Domaine de Chassorney is a wine producer based in Saint-Romain, in the Côte de Beaune subregion of Burgundy, established by (and synonymous with) minimal-intervention winemaker Frédéric Cossard. The domaine produces a range of wines from local and neighboring appellations, predominantly from local mainstays Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
Around 10 hectares (25 acres) of rented vineyards are farmed by Cossard, covering a number of local big names. These include Volnay and Volnay premier crus Les Roncerets, Les Lurets and Carelle Sous La Chapelle as well as Pommard Les Pézerolles.
Reds and whites are produced from local sites in Saint-Romain and Auxey-Duresses and Savigny-lès-Beaune. A Bourgogne Hautes Côtes de Beaune red and a basic Bourgogne Pinot Noir are also produced.
Vineyard work is biodynamic and organic. Wines are produced with no additions or filtration or fining and no sulphur is used either. The estate was established from scratch by Cossard, who did not start out his career in winemaking, in the late 1990s.
