Marthe Henry Boillot

Marthe Henry began her career in Paris in the world of journalism. Granddaughter of Pierre Boillot, she was eventually caught up by her origins and returned to the family village of Meursault in 2017. She trained at the Lycée Viticole in Beaune, then at the Domaine Rougeot in Meursault. In 2017, she began her own négoce with a few pieces of Bourgogne Blanc and Meursault. In 2023, she will take over part of the family vineyard.

Marthe Henry often laughs at himself because he has no funds, so he can only make "natural" wines. He uses natural yeast, has no temperature control, and minimizes additives. He must use limited resources and imagination to make wine. But this also makes her wine appear natural and purer, with no trace of impurities in the wine. Before becoming a pure naturalist, she was once an excellent journalist. She lived in bustling Paris for many years before returning to nature in Burgundy. Now Marthe Henry has established her own pure naturalism in Meursault! She is a shining natural star! Marthe likes to take the time to do things right, and this is one of the reasons why her wines are so popular today.

2017 is the first vintage of Marthe Henry. It is beautiful and charming, full of fragrant and pure fruit flavors. In 2018, she brewed 12 barrels of wine and 9 different wines, including 7 white wines and 2 red wines. The most special thing is that no sulfur dioxide is added during the brewing process! The lively and attractive wine quality and taste make people feel quite happy, which is undoubtedly a good start. Marthe brings out the vintage's elegance and lightness. The sulfur-free winemaking method seems to release more of the internal details of the wine and the juicy taste of the grapes, reducing the astringency when drinking. Elegant and pure, with perfect balance.
