Winemaker for four generations, the estate was created by Jules Groffier, Laurent's great-grandfather. His grandmother Bernadette Peirazeau Groffier received part of the estate and the other part was given to his brother Robert Groffier. Gérard Peirazeau has passed the torch to his son Laurent who perpetuates and embellishes this fine heritage.
The Estate covers an area of ​​3 hectares 65 ares spread over 3 villages (Chambolle Musigny, Morey Saint Denis, Gevrey Chambertin) and it has 13 appellations: Chambertin Clos de Bèze, Charmes Chambertin, Clos De La Roche, Clos Saint Denis, Bonnes Mares, Chambolle Musigny 1er cru “Les Amoureuses”, Chambolle Musigny 1er Cru “Les Hauts Doix”, Morey Saint Denis 1er cru “Les Genavrières”, Morey Saint Denis 1er cru “Les Chaffots”, Morey red village, Morey white village, red Burgundy, Coteaux Bourguignons.
The philosophy of the estate is respect for the terroirs and their fabulous appellations. During vinification, no product disturbs it (no enzymes, no yeasts, no tartaric acid, etc.) so that the wine best conveys the full potential of the terroirs.
