Te Mata Estate

The historic Te Mata Estate is located in the Hawke’s Bay region, established in 1896 and remains family owned, specializing in high-quality wines of classical style from its Hawke’s Bay vineyards. Under the direction of John Buck, Te Mata Estate has, over nearly thirty years, produced a stunning array of red and white wines including famous labels such as Coleraine, Awatea Cabernets Merlots, Bullnose Syrah, Elston Chardonnay & Cape Crest Sauvignon Blanc. As the most iconic wine to represent New Zealand, the Prime Minister John Key has presented Coleraine as gifts to both Queen Elizabeth II and Chinese Former President Xi Jinping.
